Museum Etiquette

Don’t touch any of the artwork. Security guards are usually located close by and are usually not afraid to confront you if they appear to be getting too close. The museum suggests keeping at least three feet from artworks.

Although still photography and videos are permitted in the galleries of the permanent collection Flash photography and cameras with lights aren’t. Photography and video of exhibits or loaned objects are not allowed.

Smoking is not allowed anywhere within the museum.

Beverages and food aren’t permitted in the galleries.

All umbrellas and other large objects should be checked at the coat check at the first level beneath the stairs next towards the Atrium Cafe.

Late Evenings

Every third Friday of the month, the museum remains open until midnight
